On Friday, February 7, 2025, The Sumaira Foundation was pleased to host a clinician meeting for the “Update on NMOSD & MOGAD” meeting in São Paulo, Brazil. This two-day international conference was organized by the European Charcot Foundation (ECF) in partnership with the MOGAD Eugene Devic European Network (MEDEN) and BCTRIMS. During this time, the neuroimmunology community paid tribute to the late Prof. Dr. Giancarlo Comi who served as the President of ECF until his passing in 2024.

Several members of TSF’s international Medical Advisory Board were present including Prof. Jefferson Becker (Brazil), Prof. Dr. Orhan Aktas (Germany), Prof. Kazuo Fujihara (Japan), Prof. Romain Marignier (France) and Prof. Jacqueline Palace (UK).
